Thomas J. McEvoy is president of Business Markets for EMBARQ. This NYSE-listed company has approximately 18,000 employees and operates in 18 states offering voice, data, high speed internet, wireless and entertainment services to over 5 million customers.
In his position, McEvoy is responsible for the sales, marketing and service for EMBARQ’s portfolio of communications products and services to the business marketplace.
McEvoy has more than 28 years of broad-based experience in the telecommunications’ industry, having served in a variety of positions within Sprint including assignments in the finance, operations, business markets, carrier markets, and consumer markets units.
Prior to his current role, he was president of Sprint Business Solutions Enterprise Markets. In that role, he was responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts of a business unit that provided integrated communications solutions to enterprise business accounts, plus Federal and State government accounts.
McEvoy has held other senior management positions at Sprint, including president, Consumer Solutions in Sprint’s Local Telecommunications Division.
He is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration concentrated in Accounting, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business.
